Sophia Square – the main Christmas tree in Ukraine, 2022
The Ukrainian’s main Christmas tree on Sofia Square traditionally will be lightened on December 19. This year Christmas tree will be decorated in the traditional nativity scene.
The Christmas tree will have 10,000 ornaments – red and gold toys. The 31-meter-high tree shines with a 10-kilometer garland of warm light in the form of a large dome. A skating rink will be set up around the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky. A warm art recreation area will be placed on the square.
